Our exclusive residency provides artists with dedicated studio access, a wide range of working materials, professional development opportunities, and the chance to engage with a diverse community of collectors, curators, and fellow creatives. Residents are encouraged to experiment, collaborate, and push the boundaries of their practice while enjoying the flexibility to work across a range of mediums and disciplines.

Each residency cycle culminates in a public exhibition or open studio event at Stella Gallerie, offering residents valuable exposure and the opportunity to connect with Miami’s thriving arts community.

Current Artist In Residence:

Stella Gallerie is thrilled to officially welcome mixed media artist Braden Walls into our Artist Residency Program. Originally from Jonesboro, Arkansas, Braden skillfully blends order and separation with his nontraditional use of mixed media, carving out his own visual language he’s dubbed Neo-Synthetic Cubism. His compositions reveal a lifelong craving for structure tinged with indecisiveness — works where each element claims its own rectangular space and medium, yet contributes to a larger, interconnected narrative. Think Piet Mondrian meets David Hockney, filtered through Southern grit and Miami heat. After earning his BFA in Studio Art in 2016, Braden steadily built a career with solo and group shows across the U.S. and abroad, with his work landing in private collections from coast to coast. Now, with his recent move to Miami, he’s ready to shake up the local scene — and it all starts here. We’re beyond excited to have Braden join our creative family and watch him bring his bold, clean-edged chaos to the city of Miami and beyond. Keep an eye out for exclusive studio content, pop-up moments, and his debut Miami solo exhibition in Fall 2025.
