Melissa Quintero is a Colombian contemporary artist based in Miami whose practice explores the intersection of humanity, structure, and emotion. Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, and raised between Colombia and the United States, Quintero earned a degree in architecture in Bogotá and spent fourteen years practicing architecture in Bogotá and Florida, including six years with a prestigious luxury residential firm in Palm Beach. In 2026, she transitioned fully into her artistic practice.

Working primarily with acrylic and concrete, Quintero draws upon her architectural background to transform materials of weight and permanence into expressive explorations of the human experience. Concrete becomes a metaphor for structure, resilience, and the complexities that shape our lives, while vibrant color represents emotion, connection, hope, and change.

Through an abstract visual language, Quintero reflects on the universal experiences of love, grief, uncertainty, faith, and growth. Her work invites viewers to pause and consider their own journey, finding beauty and meaning within the imperfect structures of everyday life.
