Alex Aliume is a Ukrainian-American contemporary artist based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. His multidisciplinary practice explores the phenomenology of light and perception through painting, kinetic sculpture, and immersive installation. By merging geometric precision with biomorphic form, Aliume constructs luminous architectures that evolve under shifting light conditions—revealing layered states of visibility, consciousness, and spatial awareness.
Aliume has developed a self-sustaining practice supported by a global collector base across the United States, Europe, and Asia. His work has reached international audiences through exhibitions, private presentations, and digital platforms, where he continues to bridge experiential art with contemporary discourse. With a significant online presence, his practice engages a wide global audience, with social platforms reaching hundreds of thousands and video works viewed by millions worldwide.
At the core of Aliume’s work is an expansion of perceptual experience. Utilizing a proprietary phosphorescent technique alongside geometric systems informed by higher-dimensional mathematics and the fractal structures of nature, he redefines painting as a living, time-based phenomenon. His works activate multiple states of vision—revealing dimensions of light that exist beyond immediate human perception—transforming both the artwork and the viewer in the process.
